Erland Sjöberg left his homeland to escape the memories of his son’s tragic drowning in an icy lake. Having moved with his teenage daughter Anna, to a small isolated Australian town, Erland tries hard to adjust to a new life and surroundings. While Anna reluctantly copes with the huge changes in her life, the relationship with her dad grows increasingly strained due to the appearance of a strange boyish spectre in the town.
